กบฝูงหนึ่งท่องเที่ยวไปในป่า แต่แล้ว 2 ตัวในพวกมันตกลงไปในหลุมลึก เมื่อตัวอื่นๆ ได้มามุงดูรอบๆ หลุมและเห็นว่าลึกมากแค่ไหน พวกมันก็ได้บอกกบตัวที่ตกลงไปในหลุมว่า ❝หมดหวังแล้วที่จะรอดขึ้นมา❞

กบทั้งสองก็ไม่สนใจกับคำพูดของกบตัวอื่น และพวกมันพยายามที่จะกระโดดขึ้นจากหลุม อย่างไรก็ตาม กบกลุ่มที่อยู่ด้านบนหลุมก็ได้แต่บอกให้พวกมันยอมแพ้ซะ

จนในที่สุด กบตัวหนึ่งก็เริ่มถอดใจและตรอมใจตาย แต่มีกบอีกตัวที่พยามกระโดดอย่างไม่ลดละ ฝูงกบก็ได้แต่บอกให้ยอมแพ้ไปเหมือนเคย อย่าดิ้นรนให้เจ็บปวดเลย ยังไงก็คงไม่รอด

แต่กบตัวนั้นก็พยายามอย่างไม่ลดละจนมันกระโดดออกมาได้ ก็ไม่วายยังโดนกบตัวอื่นถามมันว่า ❝แกไม่ได้ยินที่พวกเราพูดเหรอ?❞

กบตัวที่รอดออกมาได้ตอบไปว่ามันหูอื้อ มันเข้าใจมาตลอดว่าฝูงกบกำลังให้กำลังใจมันอยู่

A group of frogs was traveling through the forest when two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs gathered around the pit and saw how deep it was, they told the two frogs in the pit that ❝there was no hope of getting out alive.❞

The two frogs ignored the comments of the other frogs and tried to jump out of the pit. However, the frogs on top kept telling them to give up.

Finally, one of the frogs gave up and accepted its fate to die. But the other frog continued to jump with all its might. The other frogs kept telling it to give up as usual. Don’t struggle and suffer. You won’t survive anyway.

But that frog kept trying without giving up until it finally jumped out. The other frogs then asked it, ❝Didn’t you hear what we were saying?❞

The frog that survived answered that it was deaf. It had understood all along that the group of frogs was encouraging it.
