พ่อถึงกับพูดไม่ออก

Once there was a boy who grew up in a very wealthy family. One day, his father decided to take him on a trip to show him how other less fortunate people lived. The father’s goal was to help his son appreciate everything he had been given in life.
The boy and his father drove to a farm where a very poor family lived. They spent several days on the farm, helping the family work for food and take care of their land.
When they left the farm, his father asked his son if he had enjoyed the trip and if he had learned anything during the time they spent with this other family.
The boy quickly replied, “It was wonderful. That family is so lucky!”
His father was confused and asked what he meant.
The boy said, “Well, we have just one dog, but that family has four. And they have chickens too! At home we have four people, but they have twelve! So many people to play with! We have a swimming pool in our backyard, but they have a long river flowing through their home. We have lanterns outside so we can see at night, but they have the vast sky and beautiful stars that give them wonder and light. We have a yard, but they have the wide horizon to admire. They have vast fields to run and play in. We have to go to the grocery store, but they can grow their own food. Our tall fence protects our home and family, but they don’t need such limiting structures because their friends protect them.”
The father was speechless.
Finally, the boy added, “Thank you for showing me how rich people live. They are so lucky.”
