The darkness… slowly faded.

Win regained consciousness.

His breath came in short bursts, his throat aching as if it had been crushed.

Win looked toward the teacher’s desk.

Papers were scattered everywhere.

The handwriting… belonged to Teacher Manop.
“ปีละ 1 คน แลกกับสิ่งที่ข้าต้องการ”
“One person per year… in exchange for what I desire.”
“ขอให้มันยังหายใจ…ตอนส่งมอบ”
“Make sure it’s still breathing… when delivered.”
วินตัวเย็นเฉียบ
A chill ran through Win’s body.
เขาเห็นรายชื่อเด็กหลายคน
He saw a list of students.
บางชื่อถูกขีดฆ่า
Some names were crossed out.
ชื่อของเขา…ถูกเขียนด้วยสีแดง
His name… written in red.
“วิน”
“Win.”
เขาถอยหลัง
He stepped back.
เข็มกลัดตกลงจากโต๊ะ
A name pin fell from the desk.
“มานพ”
“Manop.”
ด้านหลังยังเปียก อุ่น
The back was still wet… and warm.
ภาพบางอย่างไหลเข้ามาในหัว
Images flooded his mind.
เด็กถูกลาก ครูหัวเราะ
A child dragged… the teacher laughing.
ภารโรงถูกกลืน
The janitor being consumed.
ข้อตกลงถูกส่งมอบ
The pact being sealed.
“ของขวัญ…ต้องมีเจ้าของ”
“A gift… must have its rightful owner.”
เงาประหลาดยืนอยู่หน้าประตู
A distorted shadow stood at the door.
หลายร่างซ้อนกัน
Multiple forms overlapping within it.
วินเข้าใจทันที
Win suddenly understood.
เข็มกลัดคือ “ตัวแทน”
The pin was a “marker.”
ของขวัญที่แท้จริง…คือคนที่ถูกเลือก
The real gift… was the chosen person.

“ครู…”
“The teacher…”
เงานั้นขยับ
The shadow shifted.
เสียงกระซิบดังรอบตัว
Whispers echoed around him.
“เอาคนที่ควรเป็น…”
“Take the one who should be…”
วินวิ่งออกจากห้อง
Win ran out of the room.
เสียงลากตามมาเร็วขึ้น
The dragging sound followed—faster.
เหมือนมันรู้แล้วว่า…ของขวัญกำลังจะถูกเปลี่ยน
As if it knew… the gift was about to change.
