Episode 1: The Promise
ถ้าให้นนท์นึกถึงช่วงเวลาที่มีความสุขที่สุด
If Nont had to think of the happiest moment in his life,
มันไม่ใช่วันสำเร็จการศึกษา หรือวันได้งานดี ๆ
it wouldn’t be graduation day or getting a good job.
แต่เป็นช่วงบ่ายธรรมดาในห้องสมุดเก่า ๆ หลังโรงเรียน
It was just an ordinary afternoon in an old library behind the school.
ที่มีแค่เขา…กับพลอย
Where there was only him… and Ploy.
พลอย / Ploy
“นี่ นายอ่านไปถึงไหนแล้ว”
“Hey, how far have you read?”
เสียงหนังสือปิดดังปึก
A book slammed shut with a thud.
นนท์เงยหน้าขึ้น เจอพลอยยืนเท้าเอว
Nont looked up to see Ploy standing with her hands on her hips.
นนท์ / Nont
“ก็อ่านอยู่นี่ไง อย่ามากวนดิ”
“I’m reading. Stop bothering me.”
พลอย / Ploy
“โกหก หน้าแบบนี้คือแอบหลับชัวร์”
“Liar. That face means you were sleeping.”
เธอยิ้มก่อนจะนั่งลงตรงข้าม
She smiled and sat across from him.
แสงแดดลอดหน้าต่าง กระทบผมเธอเป็นสีทอง
Sunlight passed through the window, turning her hair golden.
นนท์เผลอมอง ก่อนจะรีบหลบสายตา
Nont stared for a moment before quickly looking away.
พวกเขารู้จักกันตั้งแต่ ป.1
They had known each other since first grade.
วันที่พลอยย้ายมาและโดนแกล้ง
The day Ploy transferred and got bullied.
นนท์ยื่นขนมให้เธอ
Nont offered her a snack.
นนท์ / Nont
“เอาไปกินสิ เดี๋ยวก็หายร้อง”
“Here, eat this. You’ll feel better.”
เขาไม่ได้คิดอะไร แต่เธอกลับจำทุกอย่าง
He didn’t think much of it, but she remembered everything.
พลอย / Ploy
“เราจำทุกอย่างที่เกี่ยวกับนาย”
“I remember everything about you.”
พวกเขาอยู่ด้วยกันมาตลอด
They stayed together ever since.
เรียนด้วยกัน กลับบ้านทางเดียวกัน
Same class, same route home.
และมีที่ประจำ…ห้องสมุดเก่า
And their special place… the old library.
พลอย / Ploy
“เหมือนโลกมีแค่เราสองคน”
“It feels like it’s just the two of us.”
วันหนึ่ง ฝนตกหนัก
One day, it rained heavily.
พลอยกลัวฟ้าร้อง
Ploy was afraid of thunder.
เธอคว้ามือเขาไว้
She grabbed his hand.
นนท์ไม่ได้ดึงออก
Nont didn’t pull away.
พลอย / Ploy
“ถ้าวันหนึ่งเราไม่ได้อยู่ตรงนี้ นายจะยังมาไหม”
“If one day I’m not here, will you still come?”
นนท์ / Nont
“อืม…มาแหละ”
“Yeah… I will.”
พลอย / Ploy
“สัญญานะ”
“Promise?”
นนท์ / Nont
“อืม สัญญา”
“Yeah. I promise.”
วันจากลา…มาถึง
The day of goodbye came.
พลอยยื่นกล่องของขวัญให้
Ploy handed him a small gift box.
พลอย / Ploy
“ห้ามเปิดนะ…จนกว่าเราจะไม่ได้เจอกันจริง ๆ”
“Don’t open it… until we truly can’t meet again.”
นนท์พยักหน้า
Nont nodded.
เธอจับมือเขาอีกครั้ง
She held his hand once more.
พลอย / Ploy
“สัญญานะ”
“Promise.”
เธอเดินจากไป โดยไม่หันกลับมา
She walked away without looking back.
นนท์ยืนอยู่ตรงนั้น ถือกล่องไว้แน่น
Nont stood there, holding the box tightly.
และเขาไม่รู้เลยว่า คำสัญญานั้น
And he didn’t know that promise…
จะกลายเป็นสิ่งที่เขาไม่มีวันกล้าทำลาย
would become something he would never dare to break.
